The highest peak of the mountain is called Veliki Šator and it is 1872 meters high.
Clear and transparent water
Right beneath it is located famous Šatorsko lake - called also a "Gorsko oko - The Mountain Eye" lake at the altitude of 1488 meters. The lake itself is located between mountain peaks in some kind of the natural stone and rocky kettle. The lake has glacial origin ant it is 337 meter long and 127 meter wide. The deepest point of the lake is 8 meters deep. The water has darker tone of green color caused by plant called Potamogeton that grows in the lake. Water is transparent to the depth of 4 meters so the greatest part of the lake bed is visible.
This lake is also specific for being only lake with Prokosko lake on Vranica and Kotlenicko lake on Zelengora for having an
endemic amphibian called "triton".
There is a road that leads to the lake and it is possible to arrive there by car. The lake is also a good starting point for hiking tours to the top of the Šator mountain by the marked path.

Šator mountain is a massif located between Gatacko and Livanjsko plains on the northeast from the Bosansko Grahovo town and it is natural edge of the Grahovsko plain. The word "šator" means "tent", and the look of the mountain is the reason for naming it that way.
