Dabarska cave and Dabar river near Sanski most

Sanski most is a town blessed with a wonderful nature, nine rivers, beautiful waterfalls, few large caves and it is also called "Flower city". It's citizens like to call it simply Sana.

Near Sanski most you can find a beautiful river Dabar - only 4 kilometers long on it's journey to the bigger river Sana but characteristic for it's clear and fresh water suitable for drinking from it's source to the river Sana.

Clean and fresh water

Dabar river appears from the ground at Dabarska cave. This cave has huge entrance and it is unexplored. The cave is special because river Dabar flows through it creating a few natural small lakes in the cave. Some says that Dabarska cave was a natural shelter for people in the ancient times. Even during the hot days in summer inside the cave you can enjoy in cold air. Nobody lives near Dabar river from it's source to the Sana river so the place is famous for clear and drinkable water.

Coldness of the cave is transferred on the Dabar river that is very cold and people says that only the bravest dare to swim in Dabar river.

Favorite fisherman destination

Fresh water is a beautiful habitat for different kind of fish, but trout is the most common in the river. At the beginning of the March starts the fishing season on Dabar river and during the year this river is famous for fly fishing.

Dabarska cave and Dabar river are under the protection of the law as a nature monument. Visitors of Sanski most should also visit this wonderful place and enjoy the nature.
