Doli resort on Zvijezda mountain near Vares

Doli is not so famous resort located on the Zvijezda mountain near city of Vares, but it is definitely a place where you can enjoy. Visitor cannot find there big hotels, sky terrains, expensive restaurants or stuff like that, but Doli resort is an ideal place if you are looking for some quiet space for you and your family or some barbeque spot in the evergreen forest.

If you are enjoying countryside or visiting villages Doli resort is a right spot for you. It is some 45 kilometers far from Sarajevo by the road to Tuzla. When you arrive on Nisici heights, right before famous Bijambare cave location, you take a turn left to the village of Crna rijeka. After Crna rijeka and Ravne villages you will enter a peaceful and quiet valley where you will find the mountain lodge with several wood made cottages. You can rent a cottage for a cheap price. It is not so luxurious, but it is enough for you if you are hiker or mountaineer and want to spend a night there.

How to get there

There is also another road for those who want to make an all day trip from Sarajevo to Bijambare for example and make their day more interesting than just going directly to the caves. We advise you to go to city of Breza, than pass by the canyon of river Stavnja to the Vares. There you can visit the Vares lake, pass by scary natural tunnel on Zvijezda mountain, enjoy Ponikve resort and see an old magma made ball with a perfect round shape that is considered a man made ancient marvel. There you can enjoy in wonderful evergreen forests on your road to Doli resort.

After the brake in Doli resort you can continue with your trip to Bijambare cave complex and than go back to Sarajevo.
