Vlašić mountain was a place with a lot of fighting during the recent war. Some places are still covered with mines, but tourist spots and skiing resorts are totally safe for visitors. Hiking and cycling on unmarked trails could be dangerous and taking advice from locals or even taking the experienced guide is highly recommended.
