Hum is a mountain located in central Bosnia and Herzegovina that is 1280 meters high. That makes it 48300th highest mountain in 106.826 mountains of the world.

Many places in Bosnia and Herzegovina bares name of "hum", but this mountain is somewhat unknown to the inhabitants of our country. Perhaps the main reason for that is relatively small height of Hum mountain and absence of high peaks with cliffs covered with snow until summer months or absence of dense coniferous forests that embodied in mountain climate.

After that only thing that we could think of it as a reason for the fact that mountain Hum is unknown is that it lays in central position with a lot of roads that goes around Hum - but none of these roads go over the Hum mountain. It seams that Hum mountain merged with the environment, so everybody pass by but nobody pays attention to the mountain or it's name. For common traveler Hum mountain is just another hill of many hills in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Either way, Hum mountain is a nice place where you can spend a nice weekend, the place from which, at the same time, you can see Kakanj, Zenica, Kiseljak, Busovača and Vitez cities and Bjelašnica, Vranica and Vlašić mountains.

This is a nice place that will provide you with a lot of flowers as a companions on your way to the top through the beautiful woods - especially if you decide to climb in spring after the last snows and with first days of sunshine.
