Bosnia and Herzegovina under the snow

Bosnia and Herzegovina has hard times these days fighting with snow and cold weather. Snowy images of blocked cities came from Sarajevo, Zenica, Tuzla, Mostar and other cities. Communications from most villages are cut off because of weather.

Snow in Sarajevo is 108 centimeters high and on Bjelasnica mountain is 230 centimeters. Temperatures vary from -10 to -17 in Sarajevo. Other cities are in very hard conditions either.

When it's hard - have fun!

But Bosnian spirit is toughest when it's hard. The harder it gets the prouder we are. Despite very difficult conditions some people showed us that the snow is not end of the world and that we could be more closer and civilized in hard times. People cleared snow in front of their buildings and on the roads so the life could continue sooner. A lot of volunteers helped in saving others from avalanches and blocked cars on mountain roads.

All of that is followed with some of the original Bosnian humor that always helped us to go through the hardest times. That humor helped us during the war, but also helped us during this "snow occupation".

In this article we will post some of the videos and pictures that we found on the internet. New videos and pictures will be added every day so we invite you to come again for updates :)

Enjoy the snow in Bosnia and Herzegovina :)
