Zelengora - mountain with eight lakes

Zelengora mountain - or "Green Mountain" - as the name says, is a beautiful mountain that is actually a plateau decorated with eight glacial lakes.

Zelengora mountain in the past was the destination for the shepherds who came with their flocks on the rich pastures to feed until winter. Wealth of Zelengora is in a variety of herbs that suffice the sheep and cows with healthy substances, but Zelengora is also wealthy with water streams and lakes.

Zelengora is also part of the Sutjeska National Park, and its plant and animal species is under protection. That is no ordinary mountain. Gentle silence, distant vistas of grass converted into a compelling call to enjoy nature and with nature. Zelengora is a must see!
